Hooray for Fall and everything pumpkin!
We all know that Starbucks makes a mean pumpkin spice latte but who wants fork over that kind cash every time you want one?!
So, a couple years ago I went looking for a recipe I could make at home. I found a recipe for them over at The Kitchn and blogged about them back in 2010.
Oh, my gosh! They are amazing!
Delicious and easy on my wallet.....score!
Pumpkin Spice Lattes
2 c. milk
2 T. canned pumpkin
2 T. sugar
2 T. vanilla extract
1/4
tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. strong coffee for each mug
In
a saucepan combine milk, pumpkin, and sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring
until steaming. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and spice, transfer to a glass
blender. Process for 15 seconds until foamy.
Pour into a couple of mugs. Add
the coffee. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg or both.
*A little homemade whipped cream on top.......a little like heaven.
If you like pumpkin spice lattes, we will love these. Try them!
Thanks for sharing! I've been looking for a good recipe.
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome! :o)
DeleteIf you use frozen coffee cubes and blend them with the other stuff it makes a great frappe as well. Delicious hot or cold.
ReplyDeleteI might just have to try that! Thanks!
