Fall Mini Scrapbook 2012

I've been busy preparing for my Fall Mini Scrapbook Workshop.
Last year's was a blast, as was the workshop I had in the spring.

This year the Fall colors are a little softer and sweeter.
The little pumpkins make me happy.

BOO!

Have you heard about "Booing" your friends or neighbors?
It's really just door-bell ditching treats on their door step.
There are some seriously cute ideas on pinterest though.

Needless to say, fell under their magic and wanted to create my own version.
We were only able to "boo" a few of our friends but it was still fun.
The boys and I delivered them this morning.
I felt like a ninja mom. lol Only in the part about being quiet while dropping the treats off.
I even managed to dodge a spider on one of the paths.
It had my skin crawling for several minutes after getting back in the car.

Care Packages for H & J

Back in the summer one of my sisters moved to Australia to go to school.
She's totally loving it but I also know she misses being home.
Especially during the Fall and Thanksgiving season.
So......I send her a few goodies.
Even though it's summer time there, I know she will be celebrating Thanksgiving.

 

 

 

I absolutely love these little cards. Use them to write down the things you are thankful for, blessed with, and grateful for.

Then hang them, pin them, or pass them on to a friend.

Then one of my brothers went off to college this fall. I thought he might need a little love too.

Homemade Oatmeal Cream Pies and a Starbucks gift card.

Best things for a college kid. Well, if you ask me anyway! Ha! 

 

I had so much fun sending these packages to my sibs. They are pretty awesome, after all!

 

*p.s. these are the most incredible oatmeal cream pies you will ever eat.

newborn gift

Technically, this gift is more for the mom than the baby but still so very sweet.
An original Simple October large zippered pouch (not available in shop.....yet. if you are interested in purchasing one, just send me a message, I'm more than happy to work with you.)
But......I digress.
This adorable zippered pouch is fantastic for short trips when you only want to take a couple diapers and wipes with you but you don't want the entire diaper bag. Everything you need fits nicely into the pouch, then toss it into your purse or carry it by itself.

Or maybe mom needs it for her stuff. Because moms need things too, you know?! It could carry an extra shirt (for when baby spits up right after you arrive at your destination), and is large enough to hold so much more.

I also included a couple matching burp cloths, wipes, and powder. I just couldn't leave the bag empty.

(second) home

Yesterday's post was fun. I love a good before and after.
How about you?
So, moving on to our second home.
Law school student means apartment living.
As an adult, this has been my first experience living in an apartment. It hasn't been awful but I will be so happy when we are living in a house with a yard again.
Two boys and only a porch of our own can be difficult at times. Yikes!

Alright, here we go......photo are from moving in, to unpacking, and a few from right before we moved out.

For some reason this is the last photo I can find of the living room here. It was taken before I painted the walls too. I think I might have misplaced some photos. Oops!

This is the most before photo I have of their room. I put their room together the fastest so they could have a space that was a little normal/familiar. This move was really hard on them. 

 



 

 

While living here, their room went through several changes due to painting the walls, changing to toddler beds, and then to twin beds.
