{Merry Merry Christmas}

Merry Christmas to all! I hope everyone of you have a wonderful, magical holiday. Remember to enjoy the little moments throughout the day. Capture memories with your camera, relax and soak up all the incredible time you have with loved ones. May it be merry and bright!

Every Christmas Eve the hubs and I pack the kids up to take a drive around town looking at lights. Two little boys in jammies + driving around looking at homes all lit up = one great night with the fam.

This little cutie is obsessed with carrying around this Mickey DVD. We're talking death grip and tears if you try to take it away.

Christmas cookies.......yum!

Love how the Handy Manny tools are in this photo. B likes them to be apart of whatever is going on......this makes me smile.

Scenes from December

Here's a look at some of my favorite scenes from this December. It's been a busy, crazy month (really, I wouldn't have it any other way) and I'm happy I took the time to take out my camera and snap a few shots.

Loving the twinkle lights in the twin's room. Makes it feel magical!
I just adore these little trees from Whole Foods! They're simply precious!

B always lines up his banana pieces.....smile on my face!

This boy loves his daddy. He's always climbing up in his lap.
Saying "cheese" for mommy! Love how adorable they are in their hats!

Hot chocolate with marshmallow cream. Mmmm.....
Christmas shopping with mommy......and a trip to Starbucks!

Chalkboard advent calendar.
Fresh baked candy cane cookies and spicy ginger cookies.

Thanks for spending a little of your time at Our Story!

Our Family

We worked with Lindsay McBride from Lindsay De Photography to get some pictures of our little family. This was the first time we've done this as a family and the results are stunning! I wasn't sure how they were going to come out but when I went to view them for pick up I wanted to cry.......they were even better than I could have imagined. She really captured our family as a whole and each of us as individuals. They portray exactly the way we are at this time in our lives. This is what I wanted when I was looking for a photographer. Now, the hard part is choosing which ones will get framed and hung on the walls!

Growing up

We have been really busy here in the Kinsaul house. It seems like it's never ending most of the time and really I wouldn't have it any other way. I love staying busy and productive!

Yesterday I had my first catering job......loved it! Everything went pretty smooth, I'd say. This is definitely something I'd like to do again.

The twins have had runny noses for the last few days from all the cold weather we've been having. One of them started to get a low grade fever and some green in his snot so he got to stay home with daddy, while I took the other one to a birthday party for their little friend.
Let me tell you that B was so big at the party that I felt like I was watching him grow up right before my eyes. He played with his little friends, squished play dough by himself, sat in his chair while we ate, was just all around adorable and sweet! He shined all by himself and it was evident that he was loving it.
I know that the twins love each other, they are the best little buddies, but they also need time by themselves to grow as an individual. That's what I was seeing yesterday, B not being afraid to be his amazing little self. When they are together I notice B is more in F's shadows, letting F be the outgoing one that he is. I don't think there is anything wrong with the way they are when they're together but I also think that making sure they have time by themselves in different situations is healthy.
Watching the reunion of the two when we arrived home was something amazing as well. They talked, laughed and talked some more. It was like they had to fill each other in on everything that happened while they were apart. I'm so thankful for both of them and the wonderful little people they are! Love their differences and similarities. Love, love, love them!

Another exciting piece of news, we are getting our pictures back from the photographer today. I can't wait to see how they turned out! We had a blast our photo shoot downtown, even though it was freezing outside.

So, that was our weekend! Hectic, fun, loving, and all around wonderful! How was your weekend?

Christmas time is here.....

"Christmas time is here, happiness and cheer, fun for all that children call their favorite time of year...."

We have been playing Christmas music around here for a little while now and I have to say it's one of the best parts about Christmas for me. I just love how full of comfort they are, talking about family, fun and one jolly old man. lol
Watching the boys as they "checked" out the tree was one of the big highlights for me. There was a lot of standing back just looking at it, then jumping and laughing from being excited.

So, the twins were big enough this year (not to mention brave enough to touch it) to help with some of the tree decorating.

(they love those strings of beads)

They still crack me up with how they randomly go over to look at the tree, then using both pointer fingers they sort of poke at it. The best part is the repeated smelling of the tree, it's artificial.
Loving life with two toddlers!
All the decorations are up now, just haven't taken pictures yet. It's so cozy in here, which I am thoroughly enjoying. :o)
Happy decorating!
